From 2004 to 2008, I created the Jardins d’Aladin range (an anagram of my name Danila), a collection of 7 innovative and enchanting perfumes. Each fragrance is a journey in its own right, inspired by different regions of the world and their distinctive scents.
The Amerindian Garden (yellow), with a tangy grapefruit opening, harmoniously blends with green notes of ivy and violet, evolving into a fruity heart of rhubarb, rose, and jasmine, supported by woody nuances of Virginia cedar.
The Arabian Garden (green) brings mystery with fresh notes warmed by a spicy floral accord of iris, saffron rose, linden, and amber notes.
The European Garden (purple) evokes the scents of freshly cut grass, mixing anise, mock orange, jasmine, iris, musk, and wood.
The Asian Garden (pink) combines bamboo leaves, mint, cyclamen, and crocus mingled with incense, vetiver, Chinese almond tree, and Ginkgo Biloba.
The Amazonian Garden (orange) reveals humid atmospheres through accords of yerba maté, tea, and a floral hint of orange blossom, all tinted with notes of sandalwood and moss.
The Polynesian Garden (blue) plays with exoticism, combining the freshness of sea spray, citrus, tiare flower, frangipani, and vanilla.
The Aboriginal Garden (black) blends citrus accents, red and yellow fruit accords, supported by sandalwood and tonka bean.
This lush collection invites you to a captivating olfactory experience.
“Les Jardins d’Aladin are created from natural ingredients (up to 66% of the formula), whose roughness has been 100% refined to create skin-friendly perfumes that remain unique and harmonious,” notes Nicolas Danila.
To capture these scents and stories, I needed a bottle that would extend this journey. I called upon the illustrious designer Pierre Dinand (Dior, Yves-Saint-Laurent, Paco Rabanne…), the father of the modern perfume bottle, to design a precious case in the purest tradition of fine French perfumery. Thus was born a rectangular bottle inspired by old apothecary bottles, with sculpted vegetation reminiscent of a garden, as a nod to my collection. Produced in 7 colors, each bottle is numbered and signed by the designer. Their elegance and purity reflect the precious ingredients they contain.
For these seven gardens, my wife, Iwona Danila, a haute couture designer, created seven princesses with silk dresses matching the colors of the bottles. She also hand-painted Limoges porcelain boxes containing scented ribbons from these gardens. Currently, she is painting the new bottles with the world’s most famous statue.
