Nicolas Danila is first and foremost a trailblazer, a man of curiosity, a jack-of-all-trades, passionate and exciting. A chemist by training, he worked in the fields of strategy and marketing before embarking on a career in perfume, with a constant thread of innovation. Today, he is an olfactory visionary who is revolutionising the world of perfumery with his natural, allergen-free fragrances.

Originally from the Transylvanian countryside, this designer has always been lulled by intoxicating scents such as seringat and fragrant fluke, fuelling his passion for odours from an early age.

In his academic and professional career, Nicolas Danila has always been a trailblazer in every field he has investigated.

In 1982, he created the concept of technological strategy, linking the strategic angle used by managers with the technological angle used by engineers. In June 1983, this concept led to the publication of a management book entitled ‘Stratégies technologiques’.

This new strategic approach facilitated the development of all the new technologies, from Silicon Valley to today.

In 2000, he was called upon by the world of telecommunications, in the field of technological innovation, and was responsible for managing the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) programme, which led to the creation of the company Itineris, now Orange (see: www.nvdconsultants.com).

Prior to this, in parallel with his scientific studies at the Faculty of Science, he carried out research at the Chemistry Laboratory of the Ecole Normale Supérieure on rue d'Ulm. During this time, he honed his understanding of the three-dimensional structures of complex molecules and fragrances. After a spell at the CNRS, during his DEA in Structural Chemistry, he made a decisive foray into the world of perfumery in 2005, triggering a revolution in the field of fragrances.
